I’ve been mostly off the road since December, but does that mean I’ve been resting? No sir. I’ll rest when I’m dead! For starters, I rocked the Kurzweil and QSC Audio stages at the NAMM Show. At Kurzweil, I went on right after Stevie Wonder and got some very sweet teevee news coverage on KTLA. I played with John Fogerty at Levi’s Stadium up in Silicon Valley for 70,000 hockey fans – lots of pyro! I spent 8 straight 8 hour days holed up in the studio producing a new record for excruciatingly funny comedy songstress Carla Ulbrich – even knocked out a killer big band arrangement for this one! Also, after months of stress and planning, we shot a Bob Malone concert video at the lovely Grand Annex theater in San Pedro. More days holed up in the studio mixing audio while across town, 10 cameras-worth of footage is being sifted through. The editing is about to begin! AND – my new record is done: the “Mojo Deluxe” pre-release tour begins next week and runs through the end of April. I’ll have a limited amount of the new CD at the shows and only the shows. The album officially drops on May 19. Also in May, a long stretch of John Fogerty tour dates begins, along with some Bob Malone dates in Europe, more on that soon! See you out there…
